THIS GUY!!!!
Lets review....
1) He likes guns. OK, I am a supporter of the 2nd amendment, although I think it has been manipulated from the original intent of maintaining a protectionist militia. However, the syntax "Like" implies a certain willingness or even pleasure derived from engaging in acts of violence. I sincerely doubt we are dealing with a constitutional scholar here, so I must assume that this statement is made with a certain level of intended threat or menace.
2) He hates Fags. Ummmm ok. Hate is a strong word. I am not gay but I feel that what two (or three, or four) consenting adults do in the privacy of their homes is their business. Hate implies that there is a sense of threat. Does he feel threatened by them? Odd that a well armed individual would feel compelled to take the time and money to put a message like this on a vehicle if he didn't feel a fair amount of unease. Perhaps he was once attacked, while unarmed, by a raving pack of zombie homosexuals who tried to "contaminate him with their "Gay Flu". Hence the love of guns. For a man who voraciously supports freedom to bear arms, it would seem to follow that he also subscribes to the whole "Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness" philosophy. Au contraire, hypocrite!!!
3) By far, this is the most disturbing part of the message. He loves Bush!!! Perhaps he felt that the first two parts of the slogan were a little course and he needed to interject some good old double entendre here to ease the tension. Crude, but not without its comical irony. However, if this is a show of support for "THE W", than all hope is lost. To proclaim your unflagging faith in the brilliant political instrument called the Bill of Rights in the first part, and then to follow this with a shout out to the one President in the history of our country that played so "fast and loose" with the very rights guaranteed in the Constitution creates a bit of a contradiction.
I was convinced that this guy was either;
a) A genius with insight to the inner workings of society that are well beyond my comprehension.
b) An insecure, gun wielding, homophobe with sociological issues that have burrowed so deep into his psyche that he felt compelled to spell them out on the tailgate of his truck.
or
c) Just another asshole adding to the myriad problems already splintering our society.
Then I saw the middle finger sticker in the Chevrolet logo and all became clear...the answer is C ...ASSHOLE.
